456–458 George Street
Touchstone Partners was appointed by Event Hospitality and Entertainment (Event) to manage the design and development approval of the 456 – 458 George Street development.
The landmark corner site comprises 5 sites, including the heritage listed State Theatre and Gowings QT hotel.
The proposed development utilises the gross floor area of the heritage sites to deliver a 130m high office tower plus a podium to provide a 12-level hotel with 75, 5-star boutique rooms into the QT George Street building.
The development has been structured to include a 50/50 Joint Venture Partner for the office component.
The hotel DA was approved in November 2020. An Early Works Contractor has been appointed for the project, construction is scheduled to commence in 2023, subject to securing a 50% pre commitment for the office.
